Mojang, Bethesda Software and Microsoft announced the second Mash-Up Pack on Friday for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will undergo the transformation to the blocky pixel world of Minecraft.
According to a press release received from Microsoft The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is developed by 4J Studios and will include an exclusive Skyrim-themed texture set, 40 character skins, themed menus and user interface, craftable items, and more than 20 selections from the Skyrim original game soundtrack. Additionally, the pack will include a pre-made world that recreates the areas of Whiterun, Riverwood and Bleak Falls Barrow from Skyrim.
Skyrim was the most requested game to be mashed with Minecraft according to an informal September poll from 4J Studios. The other four most requested are Halo, Call of Duty, Star Wars and Borderlands.
A release date or price has not yet been announced for the Skyrim Mash-Up Pack but it should be out soon as it will be playable at Minecon in Orlando, Florida this weekend. It will likely cost $3.99 based off the price for the Mass Effect Mash-Up Pack that was released in September.
Those planning to pick up Minecraft for the PS4, PS3, PS Vita and Xbox One should expect to see the Skyrim and Mass Effect Mash-Up packs plus the already released Natural and Plastic texture packs. The port of the game will be based on the most recent title update for the Xbox 360 Edition, TU13.
