LAKE HAVASU, AZ - A boomerang or triangular-shaped craft 300 feet in the air made four passes over this town beginning at 7 p.m. March 18, while "fighter jets" followed in formation, according to a witness report filed with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.
Twentynine Palms Marine Corps Base is about 60 miles directly west of this area.
A family bar-b-que was interupted as the object made its first pass over the city while four jets trailed "an enormous craft clustered of dozens of amber lights/orbs." The witness said "we could all make out the triagle/boomerage shape because of the stars being blocked out as it passed them and by the small, very faint reddish glow or light at the tip of the 'wing.'"
Thirty minutes later, the same object again passed over town while the jets followed, but not in formation. Then during a third pass with jets following again, the witness said, "It definately blocked out the background stars and was boomerang shaped. Its amber lights at the center of the body were the strangest part. I could not tell if they were on the outide of the craft or if that part of the craft was transparent."
Thirty minutes later, the object made a fourth and final pass, the witness had obtained a video camera and shot footage.
The following is the unedited witness report from MUFON. The witness quotes in the story above are unedited. We will follow up with more information on this case as it becomes available from Arizona MUFON investigators.
Boomerang or triangle craft, 300+ feet across spotted multiple times at apprx. 10,000+ ft. by multiple witnesses Wednesday night over Lake Havasu City/Needles, CA (video taken!).
First sighting
1st sighing - Wednesday night, March 18th apprx 7pm 2009 my family and I were enjoying a bbq/fish fry in my father-in-law's backyard. I noticed the fighter jet engine noise and looked to the sky. The first thing I noticed was 4 fighters with standard strobes flying in combat formation (Lead plane forward, wingman to the right and slightly behind)
There were two sets of two fighters trailing an enormous craft clustered of dozens of amber lights/orbs. They were all traveling North to South at a consisant pace at first sight, then changed direction at about 280 degrees South to head North-West.
Traveling North-West, the craft and jets flew directly over our heads.
10 people were in the group, 7 people witnessed the event including myself. As the craft came dead straight above our heads, we could see clearly that it was a huge vehicle. At that time, it appeared to have a main body of amber lights and a "hull" and one wing outstretched to about 300+feet.
What was odd, was that we could all make out the triagle/boomerage shape because of the stars being blocked out as it passed them and by the small, very faint reddish glow or light at the tip of the "wing". The fighters jets kept pace and followed, maintaining the same distance througout.
Second sighting
2nd sighting - 30 minutes after the first sighting, the craft flew over again, this time the fighters were scrabbled and not in any noticable formation. The object itself was silent. that time, only my wife and I witnessed it while we were leaving to drive home.
This was so impressive and the second pass inspired me to get home and get the video camera. When we arrived at our house a few minutes later, I could see it circling back around and coming our direction.
I grabbed my binolulars and my wife and i faced South to watch it come back overhead.
Third sighting
3rd sighting - This time, with my binos, I saw the object perfectly.
As I write this, my adrenalin surges a little and I get chills. at 10,000+ feet, this dark craft barely fit into view through the eye peices. I have 30 power binoculars to give some perspective. It definately blocked out the background stars and was boomerang shaped.
Its amber lights at the center of the body were the strangest part. I could not tell if they were on the outide of the craft or if that part of the craft was transparent. They seemed to be clustered in an oval shape but some were slightly larger than others indicating that I could see the closest ones and the furthest ones simultaneously.
I could confirm that the wing tips had very miniscule lights on each end as well. This thrid pass, the fighters were trailing behind again. I got a sense of scale by that fact and was in awe. I handed the binos to my wife and she got a great look at it too. She has never seen anything like that and was speachless.
The craft and fighters left our sight again and I took the time to run in the house and dig out the video camera. We sat outside for about 30 minutes and I saw the craft circling for a fourth pass.
Fourth sighting
4th sighting - I was able to get it on film! I am not sure about the quality, I have not had time to review it on a large TV yet but will this afternoon. Of course lights in a dark sky could be anything but I am truly hoping the camera is sharp enough to show the darkened area of the craft when compared to the stars. that was one of the most impressive things I have ever witnessed!

I can't say for sure without seeing the video, but I'd say it's very likely that these people witnessed a KC-135 refueling four F-16s. I live in Lake Havasu and used to be stationed at Luke AFB while serving in the Air Force. I keep an eye on the sky and commonly see night refueling exercises that slowly circle town every 20 to 30 minutes. The amber lights on the UFO (aka KC-135) and the formation of the fighters sounds exactly like what you'd see during the different stages of refueling. The boomerang shaped wing of the tanker would even block out starlight. :) MUFON should be able to get to the bottom of this one easily.
i saw the same thing in doylestown PA on thursday. planes were chasing it. and it was in view for about 45 seconds and picked up so much speed it was not a plane.. that thing was too fast. descripion- triangle with 3 blue lights at each point of the triangle and one big huge spot light that looked like a lighthouse light in the middle of the thing

It must not be assumed that because fighter jets were escorting or following the UFO that this object was man made.The object I hope was videoed on gun camera and I hope on low light ccd for better detail,not that we will ever see it.

Actually, we did see a _fleet_ of triangular craft in the West Baltimore (Maryland) region a few years ago. Entirely remarkable! Though I've researched similar sightings, I have yet to get a definitive handle on the phenomenon. I do know that they were _not_ F-16s or KC-135s. Cheers.

Don't know what it was, but it would be extremely unlikely to be a re-fueling operation...especially flying over the city 4 times. That would require that ALL the officers involved flying the planes, and their ground control, were SUPREMELY stupid.
The Air Force does not EVER refuel over populated areas due to the high risk of accident during the process. They would not needlessly put a population center under such elevated risk.
In-air refueling, even with all the technology available these days, remains a demanding and dangerous procedure.

Also, the referenced witness should also supply both binocular optical metrics...mag and aperture size (e.g. 10x X 20mm) and whether it had a variable zoom capability, and he should also indicate how much of the view was taken up by the 'escort' fighters. Since those are readily identifiable, a relative scale would be much more accurate. For example, if the fighter's length took up 1/5 of the view, and the fighter was ~65ft long, then if the bogey took up the entire view (in the same observation) it would be ~325ft (assuming same distance to target, and straight, non-angled views)
It's critical details like that, that make the difference between someone just guessing and someone able to provide usable data.

Believe me this does not bode well! Our aircraft are no match for gigantic alien craft and all we can do is meekly follow it. the fact that it was playing with our fighters and was casually flying near a major military base shows their contempt for our abilities. If they decide to strike it's all over for us.

It could be they are describing the craft I saw over the freeway near here. But what I saw was truly a singular object with zero characteristics of an 'orb.' It is, however, very black and glassy, with a cross-section that would indicate a near knife-edge around the perimiter. (In other words, a wire.) I believe in some iterations this could spin. This could cause it to get orb-like.
That's a living Sylph, what John Glenn the astronaut called, a "critter" that lives in space. I'm amazed that people can't tell the difference between a Sylph and what NASA deems an "object." It's time we became familiar with the living Beings besides ourselves, out there.

Those people who have been close enough to this type of object have observed U.S.A.F. markings. Most of these are seen near or on a flight path between airbase installations.
The US "government" has robbed us of our hard earned tax money and, after paying interest to the unconstitutional federal reserve to print their illegal funny money (which is actually the job of congress to print money, backed by precious metal at no interest--read the Constitution), has then taken what's left, plus money made from their drug running and put it into private corporations to pay for research and development, probably carried out in deep undergound military bases, also paid for by taxpayers and drug running. I would guess that they are hundreds, if not thousands of years ahead of what we the sheeple know of.

Four flyovers and four chances to video it - now that must be a first in UFO history. Taking the report at it's face value, however, here are a couple of points:
First, the fact that the UFO was accompanied by USAF jets doesn't mean that they were necessarily escorting it. The report says that the jets were at first in combat formation. Maybe they had been ordered merely to intercept the UFO and keep tabs on it. Maybe they had fired at the UFO without effect. Or maybe their weapons were not allowed to work by the UFO. At any rate, this account does not prove that the UFO was a US black-ops design.
Second, since when can dirigibles fly as fast as jets? As you unnecessarily called everyone else a moron, just for being more open minded than you, I am tempted to return the insult where it truly belongs.
Having said all that, however, this could always, of course, be just another hoax, and, even if it isn't, we don't learn a whole lot more about these things from this report than we did before (which is not to say that I discourage anyone from coming forward to report similar experiences).
Debunkers never cease to amaze me as they seem always to have the answers in spite of the fact that they are rarely if ever present during a reported or observed event...and the really frightening thing is that these individuals are sometimes selected for jury duty!
We live in Lake Havasu City. We stargaze everynight because the sky is always incredibly clear. On the evening of March 18th we saw several noisy aircraft in somewhat of a formation come from the West, turnaround over the city, and continue back to the west. We thought it might have something to do with Air Force One because the president was going to be California the next day, but why would the planes be circling over Lake Havasu City.
It was an odd sight, something we have never seen before. We can confirm that several aircraft flew over Lake Havasu City on that night.
Let me guess, the next thing you will tell me is, the London Bridge is in Lake Havasu
Something is definitely going on with these boomerang type crafts i seen one 5-29-2009.1130pm-12 pm directly over central phoenix.It rotated as it turned,and left the area in a very smooth fashion and accelerated at a phenominal rate.They really are out their im not a skeptic anymore.If its something our govt is playing with,then theyve invented totally silent high speed flying anti gravity device.It had light but werent blinking.White colored lights to maybe yellow.I only seen it for a few seconds,it moved out of the area so fast.
Frank Hogan, I did film the craft as stated in my report. The History Channel has an upcoming episode of UFO Hunters which I will have a chance to explain the events in more detail. We have regular family get togethers so there was no need to have a video camera runnning. Our cell phone cameras would not have been sufficent...plus...we were simply awe-struck. The arcticle states 300 ft. off the ground. That is incorrect. It was 300-400 feet across and about 10,000 ft. above us.
