Section 4: Fight or Flight Story

Fight or Flight story title: Tyler chooses between Dennis and Shawn’s gang

Teacher reads story to the class called “Tyler chooses between Dennis and Shawn’s gang.”

B. Story Description: Shawn and his gang were waging psychological warfare on Tyler. One day, Dennis playfully nudged Tyler while he was with them. Instead of laughing in welcome, Tyler and the gang accused Dennis of hitting Tyler and warned him he better watch his back.
 

Please note: There are two other sequel stories about Shawn’s gang:

  1. A Mediation session with Shawn, Tyler, and Dennis
  2. Sam self-mentors rather than giving in to Psychological Warfare

Section 5: Popcorn Review

Directions: After reading each target story, spend a minute or two conducting a quick story wrap-up called a Popcorn Review. This gives students an opportunity to share their reactions to and impressions of the story characters and events.

A. Students participate in scripted role-play called “Tyler chooses between Dennis and Shawn’s gang.”
