Michael Buble fans can expect some new music in the near future. The charismatic Canuck crooner has revealed he is back in the recording studio, working on a "secret" project.
Posting an update posted Aug. 20 his official Facebook page, the multi-Platinum selling singer teased fans by posting a new photo of himself working in the studio. The picture reveals the "Haven't Met You Yet" hitmaker singing into a microphone, casually dressed in a black t-shirt, baseball cap and wearing headphones.
The caption which accompanies the photo provides few clues as to what the studio project might be. But the multi-Grammy winner hints he'll let the cat out of bag soon, writing, "In the studio working on something new! It's a secret....but don't worry you'll know soon enough."
Buble could be working on a follow up to his Grammy winning 2013 studio album To Be Loved. The album topped the charts in 17 countries and earned the Burnaby, B.C. native his fourth consecutive No. 1 entry on the Billboard 200.
The international superstar could alternatively be recording a sequel to his 2011 international best-seller Christmas, which moved 8.5 million copies worldwide. The smash holiday album sold 2.45 million copies in the U.S alone that year, placing second only behind Adele's record-breaking 21.
Buble was recently announced among the collaborators on Barbra Streisand's upcoming duet's titled, Partners, due to hit shelves on Sept. 16. Their studio duet "It Had to Be You" premiered last week on ABC's popular morning TV show "Good Morning America."
The hard-working 38 year old wrapped up a second leg of To Be Loved Tour dates in Canada and the U.S. earlier this month. The world tour will continue in the fall with stops scheduled throughout South America and Europe, kicking off on Sept. 9 in Santiago, Chile at Movistar Arena and wrapping up with a pair of shows. Dec. 15-16 at London's O2 Arena.
A deluxe reissue of To Be Loved, featuring three bonus tracks, alternative covers, as well as a 30-minute DVD with never before seen footage of its making was released on the album's first anniversary. For more information, click here.
