An online retailer may have revealed the launch plans for the upcoming multiplatform video game, “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.” According to a report from Softpedia on April 2, Xtralife updated its listings for the open-world stealth-action title to show a release date of March 12, 2015.
Konami Digital Entertainment released the prologue, “Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes,” on March 18 in the United States. The company hinted in their latest fiscal report that “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” won’t be coming until late 2014 at the earliest. The listing from Xtralife appears to fit into the release window for the mainline video game.
The Spanish retailer also posted a PC version for the upcoming title. Despite expressing some interests, Kojima Productions and Konami Digital Entertainment have not yet announced that “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” would be coming to the computer platform. The companies previously released the original “Metal Gear Solid” as well as “Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty” for the PC.
The aforementioned “Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes” gave players a short taste at what to expect from the mainline installment, which will be approximately 200 times bigger. You can find a selection of screens from both software products with the slideshow to the left of this article.
