The newest trend in skin care is -- MEN! An increasing number of men are seeing the benefits of the anti-aging skin care industry both as consumers and from a business perspective. Gone are the days when a jar of face cream was strictly a woman's domain as more males are flexing their purchasing muscle buying men's skin care brands as well as selling skin care products for guys and gals.

Teen Skin Care for Boys

Even in their young teens, boys start using acne medication which comes in tubes, jars and even regimens thanks to forward-thinking brands like Proactiv. The transition for some men starts as soon as they move away from teenage acne creams. After seeing the results clinical products make in their skin, a growing number of young males are continuing their daily facial care with other men's skin care products and regimens simply to maintain healthy skin.

Men in Skin Care Industry

However, it is interesting to take note of one of the new trends in men's skin care: older men -- fathers with children or grandchildren -- who are beginning to take a hard look at skin care as a business. Eddie, a grandfather in Franklin, Tenn., runs a construction business and spends an average of four hours a week running his skin care business on the side. For him it was a no-brainer.

Realizing that his generation was concerned with the issues of aging skin, Eddie was one of the first in his area to join the doctors who created Proactiv in their newest venture, Rodan + Fields Dermatologists. Now he earns a substantial monthly income from his booming skin care business in addition to what he earns in construction.

Men's Skin Care Business Opportunity

Gabe in Gulf Breeze, Fla. saw the skin care opportunity at about the same time as Eddie. Determined to retire his wife from a job that was slowly killing her dreams, he signed up with the direct-selling skin care business even though he was not remotely interested in skin care.

At a July 2014 presentation in Nashville, Tenn., attended heavily by men, Gabe says he heard "partner with the doctors who created Proactv" and realized this was the opportunity of a lifetime. Now he has joined the million dollar circle through his anti-aging skin care business and is a successful speaker and soon-to-be author on the skin care circuit.

Men & Skin Care Science

Dr. Timothy Falla, PhD, is one of the world's leading authorities on peptide science as it relates to both personal care and pharmaceutical skincare. He has spent a lifetime studying cellular DNA and is one of the brightest minds in anti-aging skin care. At a recent skin care seminar in Nashville, Tenn. where Dr. Falla was a speaker, a large percentage of the audience was male.
