Megan Fox credits low carb sugar-free Paleo diet for rapid baby weight loss

Megan Fox lost all her baby weight just five months after giving birth to her second child by following a low-carb, sugar-free Paleo-style diet.

Fox put her sleek physique on display at the July 29 premiere of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" in Mexico City, Mexico. Megan wore a form-fitting mini-dress that accentuated her toned legs and tiny waist.

Fox said the strict low-carb, low-sugar, bread-free diet she has been following recently has been tough but very effective. "I've had to eliminate bread from my diet, so I'm on that high-protein, very low-carbohydrate, very low-sugar diet," Megan told E! "It's kind of awful."

Judging by her slender body, it's hard to believe the brunette beauty just gave birth in February 2014. But given Megan's track record, her speedy weight loss isn't surprising.

In 2012, Fox regained her pre-baby body just two months after giving birth to her first son, Noah. Megan gained just 23 pounds during her first pregnancy and shed the weight quickly by following the low-carb, dairy-free Paleo diet.

The Paleo diet emphasizes high-quality animal proteins such as grass-fed beef and bison, healthy fats like coconut oil, vegetables, and excludes gluten, sugar, dairy, legumes, starches, alcohol and processed foods.

The Paleo diet is the most popular diet around, and has a huge celebrity following, including Tim McGraw (who credits it for his jaw-dropping 40-pound weight loss), Joe Manganiello, Kellan Lutz, and supermodel Adriana Lima.

Research suggests the low-carb Paleo diet promotes weight loss and prevents cancer, diabetes and Alzheimer's. TV star Jack Osbourne and singer Chad Vaccarino both use the Paleo diet to treat their multiple sclerosis.

Fox's trainer, Harley Pasternak, said Megan's consistent workouts during her pregnancy aided her post-baby weight loss. "We worked out throughout her entire pregnancy," Harley told People. "She was a model of health through the whole process."

Fox and her husband, actor Brian Austin Green, both follow a healthy, low-carb diet and work out regularly. "Megan and Brian eat really well," said Harley. "They both cook and love using their blender. Megan's favorite is the red smoothie, which is whatever berries are in season, Chai tea, a scoop of protein powder and little bit of almond milk."
