California Mega Millions Winners Strike It Rich

Meanwhile, California Lottery officials on Tuesday, April 8, announced another Mega Millions winner is $233,000 richer after hitting just the right combination of lottery numbers in the last drawing. Deogracias Pingul of Union City, California, matched five out of six white Mega Millions winning numbers, missing only the gold Mega Ball number for the second-tier prize. He purchased his lucky ticket at Island Pacific Supermarket, which is located at 4122 Dyer Street in Union City (Alameda County) for the April 4 drawing.

Pingul told California Lottery officials he thinks of himself as “a regular lottery player". He said that he won a dollar on another game and figured he would just buy a Mega Millions Quick Pick since it was only one dollar. That was a smart decision and paid off handsomely for the California Mega Millions winner!

In other lottery news, the $30 million California Mega Millions jackpot winner still hasn't come forward to claim his or her prize. The lottery winner hit ALL six Mega Millions winning numbers for the entire jackpot on April 4. That winning lottery ticket was purchased at the Century City 76 station located at 10389 Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles.

According to the California Lottery website, they

"strongly urge the lucky winner to sign the back of their ticket in ink, obviously keep it in a safe place and visit their local Lottery District Office as soon as possible. Jackpot winners have a full year from the date of the draw to claim their prizes."
