The conference said that his solo group Rusty Anderson Afternoon will perform from 11:30 p.m. to 12:10 a.m. March 12 at Rowdys Saloon. Anderson himself will discuss guitar techniques, tell McCartney tour stories and discuss his own creative process in a session at the Austin Convention Center from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. March 13. The event will be hosted by KUT/KUTX Radio's Jody Denberg.

Anderson has been working with McCartney since 2001 when he was invited to play on the "Driving Rain" album. He's been a member of McCartney's touring band and has also released his own solo albums.

Anderson told Beatles Examiner in an interview that the chemistry and personalities of the members of the McCartney band make it work so well.

“Everyone has a good feel as a musician, which is really important. And I think as people, there’s a chemistry to the personalities that works, a dynamic that we’re able to play as team players, but also know how to really interject our own personality without hopefully destroying the music, because I think that it’s really important.”
