More than 40 dog lovers have called Second Chance Pet Adoption in Oak Ridge, N.J. asking to adopt the white poodle and cocker spaniel mix who was rescued off a cliff at the Garret Mountain Reservation four days ago reported North Jersey.com.
Today, the happy little girl acts like a rock star, explained Stephanie Pearl, president of the Second Chance Pet Adoption. The pooch, now named Clover, likes playing with other dogs, and after being primped by the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains who made sure she was healthy, Clover is loving her new short hairdo and the attention.
There were four firetrucks, 25 Paterson firefighters, Passaic County Sheriff's Officers, and Paterson's Animal Control there to rescue the lost or abandoned dog who had been spotted by a hiker when he heard Clover bark.
Authorities think that Clover was neglected or abandoned, but happily this lucky little pooch will never have to worry about being scared again.
