Matt Hardy and Reby Sky arrested for domestic battery

Former WWE SuperStar Matt Hardy and wife Reby Sky were both arrested on January 1, 2014 after what some reports are calling an horrific fight at a hotel in Virginia. News of their arrest became available earlier today.

Mug shots of both show their faces scratched up and bloody with Sky appearing to have taken the brunt of the battle with a black eye, swollen lips and cuts on her face.

Hardy and Sky were married last year and have been touring on the indies, including appearances in Ring of Honor for months.

The pair have had a tumultuous relationship that has included Hardy being arrested for drug possession after Sky called police saying Hardy was destroying their home.

Hardy has been trying to outlive his troubled past, which often found him missing shows or being unable to perform while at the show, and his battles with substance abuse and was, according to many promoters and fellow wrestlers, getting his life back on track. His marriage to Sky was thought to be, in part, a celebration of his turn around.

Sky has developed into a competent performer on the women's indie scene and has been almost as in-demand as Hardy in recent months.

What sparked the mega fight between the two is unknown at this time but it is believed both have taken out restraining orders against the other.

The pair were both booked on charges of assault and battery as well as domestic violence and released on $3,500 bail.

More on this developing story as it becomes available.
