With the holiday of giving and the new year just around the corner, BioWare have announced their official holiday-season retirement, saying their offices will be closed for the next few weeks beginning this weekend. Along with it will be the N7 Bounty Weekends, which will not take place again until the new year, on January 11, 2013. However, BioWare have prepared some special gifts for all those who log into Mass Effect 3's multiplayer from today: 3 unlocked kits, including the Drell Assassin, Batarian Slasher, and Volus Protector; any and every Hazard Map you've ever heard of for ME3; and two shiny new card packs to add to your vast collection.

In addition to the goodies, players can still participate in this weekend's N7 Bounty Weekend, Operation: Prophecy. The event description reads:

Our successes on Earth have given us the capability to land materiel in several war zones. However, in order to conceal shipments to the resistance, each delivery needs corresponding strikes on Reaper targets to create a screening distraction. The operations to deliberately gain Reaper attention are extremely high-risk and will require increased numbers to spread0 thin Reaper reaction forces. For this mission, N7 commanders, wherever possible, will recruit and command supplemental volunteer units: recent graduates of our N7 program and soldiers who bring experience from other branches."

Once players complete the two assigned challenges- extracting once on the London, Vancouver, and Rio maps, and accumulating 100,000 points against Reaper enemies- Commendation Packs and the "Hero of the Last Days" banner will be rewarded. The challenges can be completed on any difficulty.
