The Shops at Canton Crossing is home to the latest dining addition to the Canton neighborhood, the Farmstead Grill which is opening their doors Monday, June 16th at 11 a.m. and will be offering lunch and dinner service.
Farmstead Grill’s Chef Galen Sampson, formerly of Harbor Court and his own Dogwood Restaurant in Hampden continues his commitment to farm-to-table dining. Before taking up the executive chef position at Farmstead Grill,” Sampson says, “I spent almost a year working as an assistant manager on a farm in Virginia. That experience has enabled me to make strong connections with area farmers.”
A key point their publicist is highlighting is it is “affordable” farm-to-table dining. The space is quite large offering multiple options for dining whether at the bar for light bites, casual dining with family and friends or celebratory gatherings. Farmstead Grill seat 190 under its roof and al fresco dining for 48.
What can you expect on their dinner menu? They advise guests can look forward to grilled Chesapeake oysters gratinéed with smoked crab, spring spinach and fennel; Moroccan spiced lamb with roasted tri-colored carrots and wilted baby dandelion greens; and mustard and lavender honey roasted half chicken with baby haruki turnips and rosemary salt-baked new potatoes.
On the lunch menu one will find lighter fare, including salads, sandwiches and burgers. Fresh juices such as the carrot-apple-ginger and cucumber-apple-mint will offer alternatives to regular libations.
The restaurant is located at 3721 Boston Street, Baltimore, MD 21224. Reservations can be made online starting June 16th at www.farmsteadgrill.com or by calling 410-762-2100. Find them on Facebook as well as Twitter and Instagram @FarmsteadGrill
