The Koopalings from the “Super Mario Bros.” series will be playable in the eight main installment of the “Mario Kart” franchise. In the platforming titles, the sub-bosses are usually the last enemy the player must defeat before moving onto a new area.

Iggy Koopa, Larry Koopa, Lemmy Koopa, Ludwig von Koopa, Morton Koopa Jr., Roy Koopa and Wendy O. Koopa can now be chosen as drivers in “Mario Kart 8.” You can find the new trailer and screens from the forthcoming title to the left side of this article.

In addition to the character announcement, Nintendo also confirmed that the software product will be launching exclusively for the Wii U in North America on May 30. The sequel adds new anti-gravity racing track in which players will be driving on the top and bottom side of the road. It would also be retaining the air gliders and underwater elements from “Mario Kart 7” on the Nintendo 3DS in addition to the motorcycle vehicles that originated from “Mario Kart Wii.”

Nintendo EAD is the development studio behind the production of “Mario Kart 8.”
