Two men were shot, one now in guarded condition with gunshot wounds to his abdomen, thigh and pelvis. The other male was shot in the buttocks.
Two females were also shot, one in the toe and the other with gunshot wounds to her chin and foot.
None of the victims have yet to be identified.
Thanks to video footage captured by a bystander, police were able to determine that two men were involved initially. Those two men were arguing with one of the male victims, when one of the two men left, and returned to the scene of the argument with a third man which is when the shootings started according to ABC News .
The suspects fled the scene immediately after the shootings.
A student from LSU, 21-year-old Patrick Clay, described the scene after the shootings from his vantage point from a corner of the famed Bourbon Street:
"Everyone immediately started running and the cops immediately started running toward where people were running from."
"I was with a group of about seven people and at that point we all just kind of grasped hands and made our way through the crowd as soon as possible."
When police arrived on the scene, the block of Bourbon Street where the shootings occurred was closed down for about an hour for their initial investigation.
Police described the three suspects as one man around 18- to 22-years old, a second man around 20- to 25-years-old, and a third with a heavy build and beard.
