Mendeecees Harris accused of sex with minor, now faces drug charges

Mendeecees Harris, who fathered a child with VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop” star Yandy Smith, is facing drug charges on top of accusations he had sex with a young girl, according to Jan. 29, 2013 media reports.

Harris allegedly turned himself in for outstanding drug charges Bossip reports via Tattle Tailzz.

According to the reports and documents obtained by the tabloid website, in 2001 Harris was arrested for distributing cocaine and was sentenced to four years behind bars and given three years probation.

Shot 97 reports that Harris turned himself in on Jan. 29 regarding 2002 drug charges.

According to Diary of a Hollywood Street King, Harris’ trial for molestation began the same day.

Harris, 34, is accused of performing a number of sex acts with a girl only 15 years of age on various occasions between Sept. 2009 and April 2010 in New Jersey, reports MTV.com citing NorthJersey.com and HipHopWired.com.

The girl is allegedly the daughter of Harris' eldest son's mother, according to Rucuss.com.

He was arrested in 2010, and charged with child endangerment, sexual assault, and criminal sexual contact. According to MTV, if convicted of the crimes, he could face up to 20 years in prison.

According to VH1’s website, Harris is well-known throughout New York City and has made his name in real estate as well as the music industry. He owns Beat Factory studio located in the Bronx and manages a number of rappers, including Vado and Webstar. Harris and Smith have been a couple for six years.
