Manageable stress

Greg Anderson once said, “The perfect no-stress environment is the grave. When we change our perception we gain control. The stress becomes a challenge, not a threat. When we commit to action, to actually doing something rather than feeling trapped by events, the stress in our life becomes manageable.”

Somehow you will find a way to make it through your hardship.

Is there a scenario playing out in your life that has you feeling trapped? If so, it is time to surface your analytical self while you tuck your emotional self in for a nap. Thinking logically, it is likely you have options that will manifest a course around your obstacle but your emotions are over shadowing this route. In order to uncover a viable solution to your problem, you have to step away from what you feel is blocking you and you must step into the sun. It is time to shed some light on your problem!

Next, you have to put aside any shame you might be harboring as this adds unnecessary burden to your dilemma. Put down this heavy weight so you are free to maneuver with ease.

You can overcome whatever is bullying you by taking your power back; make “…the stress become a challenge, not a threat.” If your mind is obsessing on a worst-case scenario, counter these thoughts by disengaging from them. Gain the courage to say, “So what if this happens. I am strong enough to handle any consequence. And, if I cannot figure out how to outwit this problem, I will find someone who can!” This is the change of perspective that George Anderson is referring to in his above quote.

There are billions of people in the world and I am sure many of these individuals have been through a situation much like yours. All you have to do is start with an Internet Google search to get help. Type in “How can I overcome (fill in the blank with your problem).” You will be surprised by the large number of links that will surface in response to your question. Filter through these options and commit to a course of action. Action offers a reality and, one way or another your hardship will alter from your effort. Remember, every experience is a growth opportunity especially the difficult ones!
