A man has been charged with kidnapping a young girl from Barton County on Tuesday.
Adrianna Horton, 12, was last seen around 5 p.m. at Hazel Park at Golden Ave at High St. in Golden City, Mo. on Monday. She had gone there with her sister and father to meet friends and play.
Adrianna's father, James Horton told police that one of the friends alerted him to the fact that Adrianna was missing. Someone stated they had seen her get into a car, while a group of children said they saw a man that they recognized get out of his car and grab Adrianna. He then put her in his car and drove off.
With that information, the police were able to track down a vehicle, driven by Bobby Bourne, 34, from Lockwood and pull him over. Adrianna was not with him and police took Bourne into custody, and later charge him with kidnapping.
When Horton heard they had arrested Bourne, Horton said he knew him and Bourne once worked for him.
According to Adrianna's youngest sister, Lydia, 8, Bourne drove up to them several times and asked them for help to look for his two youngest daughters.
"Then he said to Sissy, 'I have a secret to tell you when we get on the highway,'" Lydia told KSPR news. Lydia then said she turned around and her sister was gone.
The sheriff department said they have expanded their search outside Golden City.
As far as the investigative side of it, it has progressed past Golden City," said Sergeant Mike Watson of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Adrianna has short brown hair, brown eyes with fair complexion and she was wearing jeans and a pink shirt with hearts on it.
