Man arrested for DWI twice in same day, at same place

While you may have heard the saying, “Being in the wrong place at the wrong time,” you may not have heard about someone being in the wrong place at the wrong time, twice in one day. Meet New Yorker Zachary Boynton. Now first, keep in mind that everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty, but according to a March 11, 2014, report from CNY Central, NY state police charged Boynton, 31, with DWI and say he was taken into custody twice at the same McDonald’s restaurant. Not only did Boynton’s blood alcohol level exceed legal limits, but also he was involved in two vehicle-related incidents at the same location, just hours apart.

According to reports, NY State Troopers responded to calls that a man rear-ended a car in front of him at a McDonald’s drive through on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at approximately 1 am. The report says he had a blood alcohol level of .25 and was later released to a sober party. Authorities responded to a second call at approximately 5 am, and say that Boynton returned to the same McDonald’s and struck the building with his vehicle.

Boynton now faces two DWIs.
