Luke Bryan received the top honor at the American Country Awards on December 10, as he earned the title of Artist of the Year. Riding the high of an exciting, award-winning year, Luke Bryan was all smiles and playful as he accepted his award.
What’s up! Guys, thank y’all so much. This is amazing to be called the Artist of the Year. I want everybody to know from the bottom of our hearts, my family, everybody on the road, we are having so much damn fun bringing our show to your towns.
Luke Bryan went on to say that they enjoyed playing for hard-working, true American, country music fans. Then, he gave an unexpected, but adorable, shout out to his sons, Bo and Tatum.
Bo and Tate, I love you. We’ll be at the Christmas program in the morning. We’ll see you in the morning.
So, there he was, earning yet another award in his rapidly accumulating list, proving to the world he has “arrived” on top of the country music world, and he was already thinking about being the “average” guy, sitting at his kids’ Christmas program, beaming along with all the other proud papas.
If Luke Bryan didn’t already have millions of fans, the sweetness of that moment would have earned him a solid following.
In addition to Artist of the Year, Luke Bryan received the American Country Artist of the Year: Male and Touring Artist of the Year awards.
