Stacy Keibler credits a low-carb, Paleo-inspired diet for her fit pregnant physique, Celebrity Health reported. Keibler, a longtime fitness fanatic, said women should not use pregnancy as an excuse to pig out.
“I really truly believe that pregnancy is not a time to have an excuse to eat donuts,” said Stacy. “[Pregnancy] is a time to be as healthy as you can be and build the foundation for your baby. I think that you should be even more conscious of what you’re doing.”
Keibler, a former professional wrestler, said she hasn’t had any cravings, thanks to her low-carb Paleo-style diet, which keeps her healthy and nourished. But she admits she enjoys the occasional slice of pizza.
“I cut out night-shade vegetables, like eggplants and tomatoes, and didn't eat any dairy or gluten," she said. "I saw the difference in my body, my energy and my mental clarity. Even the whites of my eyes were clearer."

Stacy said she adopted a Paleo-inspired diet in 2013 and found she was able to lose weight without exercise. “I was eating protein and vegetables,” she said. “I did no gluten, no soy, no dairy, no sugar. I felt amazing. I actually lost weight without working out.”
The leggy 5-foot-11 blonde beauty also works out almost every day, doing Pilates and lots of stretching. Her usual workouts include lots of running, hiking, Pilates, lunges and weight workouts.
The Paleo diet emphasizes high-quality animal proteins, healthy fats, non-starchy vegetables, and excludes gluten, sugar, alcohol, dairy, legumes, and processed foods.
The low-carb Paleo diet is the most popular diet around today, and has a huge celebrity following, including Tim McGraw (who credits it for his jaw-dropping 40-pound weight loss), Megan Fox, Jessica Biel, Robin Wright and Joe Manganiello.
TV star Kristin Cavallari recently credited a Paleo-style diet for her 20-pound weight loss just two months after giving birth to her second child. Cavallari is now at her pre-pregnancy weight.
Research suggests the Paleo diet accelerates weight loss, reduces blood pressure, and prevents cancer, diabetes, heart disease, depression, and even Alzheimer's. A recent study published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition indicates the Paleo diet is twice as effective as low-fat diets for promoting weight loss and reducing belly fat.
