Louisiana superintendent of education Paul Pastorek makes $400k+ a year-why?

The State Superintendent Paul Pastorek makes $400 thousand dollars a yearPaul Pastorek Superintendent Education Salary and

after you read this story your probably going to get in touch with the BESE

board that created his bloated pay check and ask why in the hell is he getting

paid more than every other State Superintendent in the south. When BESE

approved Pastorek’s contract in February, the lone no vote was Chas Roemer

of Baton Rouge, who urged the addition of performance goals. After all its

most of what he does is make sure that bad students in RSD are kicked out

or sent to a special school for students with behavior problems.Lets look at the

numbers, Texas, with 8,841 schools and some 4.5 million public school

students, pays its school superintendent $180,000 annually. Florida, with 3,766

schools and 2.67 million students, pays its superintendent $254,925.

Louisiana has 1,527 schools and only 375,526 public school students and pays

Pastorek $400 grand.Get this there's more ,guess what  BESE  selected him as superintendent without doing a national

search — wow talk about a rigged lottery,an action some lawmakers questioned as they criticized the “lucrative” pay package.

When questioned about his high salary Pastorek quipped  “I took a substantial cut,” making less money today than when he

was with his law firm. “It is the level I can justify for my kids and family,” Pastorek said.

How must be nice.Lawyer becomes state superintendent with ,no experience ,no performance incentives,no competition for job,and his reasoning for

high salary is he made more as lawyer, well I do not see him beating down the door to get back to his law practice,

I do not get his reasoning at all.I think Bobby Jindal should take a look at this.

Wow that is a lot of money. I think that there really needs to be a change in that! Put that money towards education itself and make sure that the superintendent is making less than 400k. I think he should be making around 100k and that is the limit there. Teachers should be paid more and get what they deserve for the work that they are doing. I think that it would be a great way to make a change. www.realpagessites.com/ezimlaw
