Little Mix's 'Salute' No. 1 on iTunes in U.S.; 'Good Morning America' appearance

On Feb. 4, 2014, Little Mix's second album, "Salute," was released in the U.S. and Canada, and debuted at No. 1 on iTunes in the U.S. and No. 2 on iTunes in Canada. The album is expected to debut in the Top 10 in both countries. Billboard will have the official chart rankings on Feb. 12, 2014.

Little Mix performed "Move" (the first single from "Salute") on ABC's "Good Morning America" on Feb. 4, 2014. The performance got mixed reactions from "Good Morning America" viewers. (See the end of this article for a sampling of comments.)

"Move" was a No. 3 hit in the U.K. in 2013, but the single flopped in the U.S., where "Move" failed to make it on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. Little Mix also performed "Move" on "The X Factor" U.S. in 2013, and the group is scheduled to perform the song on "The Wendy Williams Show" on Feb. 6, 2014.

As previously reported, Little Mix has done a cover version of Cameo's "Word Up" as the official 2014 single for Sport Relief, an annual U.K. charity event that is televised in the U.K. on BBC.

Little Mix's "Word Up" will be released in the U.K. and Ireland on March 16, 2014. Sport Relief 2014 will talk place from March 21 to March 23. In January 2014, Little Mix was in Liberia as part of a Sport Relief charity promotion.

In 2011, Little Mix became the first group to win on "The X Factor" U.K.

Little Mix's first album, "DNA," was a Top 10 hit in several countries.

Little Mix's second album, "Salute," also hit the Top 10 hit in several countries when it was released in 2013. Little Mix is the opening act on select dates of Demi Lovato's "Neon Lights" 2014 North American tour. Little Mix is headlining a U.K. tour in May and June 2014.

On Jan. 21, 2014, Little Mix went to Japan to promote "Salute."
