The announcement was made late yesterday (Dec. 17,2013). The colorful pyrotechnic show will begin around midnight. The displays are always a major draw for the grand NYE celebration that will host more than 300,000 visitors this year. As always, Las Vegas Blvd. traffic will be shut down at approximately 6 P.M. on NYE night.
The following seven Vegas Strip hotels will offer rooftop fireworks displays:

- Caesars Palace
- Treasure Island
Downtown's Fremont Street Experience celebration starts at 6 P.M. and runs until 2 A.M. Live musicians will perform throughout the night. The countdown will include a 2013 retrospective review on the Viva Vision overhead canopy display. Mayor Carolyn Goodman will lead the midnight countdown which will be followed by a fireworks display.
