Lara Spencer just signed a $2 million a year contract to remain on "Good Morning America" and Josh Elliott left the show to join NBC Sports. All of these sudden changes have resulted in rumors that Lara and Amy Robach are feuding on the set. Robach was promoted to Elliott's position. The two women will be working closer together on "GMA," but sources point out the two supposedly can't stand each other.
RadarOnline published an Apr. 3 report after speaking with their sources regarding this story. They tell the entertainment news site that Amy thinks Lara is an "airhead" and not at all a serious journalist. She doesn't see Lara as being worthy of the "GMA" position she has since she has doesn't have a solid background in the field.
"Amy is no-nonsense, very serious journalist. Lara is the opposite; Amy wishes Lara would go back to reporting for 'Entertainment Tonight,'" an insider told Radar.
A source also said Lara Spencer never visited Amy Robach in the hospital following her double-mastectomy. She's now undergoing chemotherapy and is still able to work on "GMA."
“Lara never came to visit Amy in the hospital, or even called her to see how she was doing; Robin Roberts, a breast cancer survivor, helped Amy navigate the complicated maze of what doctors to see, and has been a true friend to her during this time," the source said.
On Tuesday the ladies shared a photo of them showing off their new manicures. Lara Spencer and Amy Robach sure don't look like they're enemies in the image. Then again, one photo doesn't tell the whole story. Read more about that HERE.
