Lady Gaga is known for her outrageous antics, but she may have taken things a little too far last evening at a concert in Vancouver, Washington. Mother Monster wore plastic assault rifles and simulated shooting the audience with her breasts. This comes only weeks after the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut. Several people on Twitter have condemned her for being insensitive.
Since the Sandy Hook shooting, the entertainment industry has taken a look at movies, music, and television shows that promote violence. However, Lady Gaga isn't a follower and there is no doubt that she will defend her actions as "art."
The "Born This Way Ball" Tour kicked off this weekend in Vancouver, CA to great reviews, but some unsold seats. However, people at the show emailed me to say both shows were more than 90 percent full. It will be interesting to see how her audience in Tacoma, WA responds if she pulls the same stunt.
