Kristin Cavallari is in the best shape of her life following her 20-pound weight loss just three months after giving birth, Celebrity Health reported.
Cavallari, a self-professed health nut, credited a low carb, dairy-free Paleo diet and breastfeeding for her rapid weight loss. The blonde beauty also said good genes played a role in her speedy slim-down.
“I’m a freak about what I put in my mouth,” said Kristin. “I’m constantly reading labels and I don’t eat any toxic chemicals. I’m breast-feeding, which burns a ton of calories, and I can probably just thank my mama too.”
Grass-Fed Beef, Bison, Avocados and Lots of Coconut Oil
Breastfeeding can burn up to 500 calories a day. But Cavallari's primary weight loss weapon is a low-carb, low-sugar Paleo diet that features healthy fats such as coconut oil and high-quality proteins such as grass-fed beef and bison.
"I don't eat any toxic chemicals and I try to eat organic as often as possible," the mom of two told E! "We eat a ton of veggies, chicken, grass-fed beef, bison and fish. We also love sweet potatoes and brown rice pasta. I love avocados with olive oil and sea salt and I put coconut oil in or on everything."
Cavallari said her breakfast is usually a smoothie, oatmeal or eggs, while lunch is a salad or turkey sandwich. Kristin snacks most afternoons, enjoying nuts with dried cherries, chips with hummus, or an apple with almond butter. She also tries to eat plenty of healthy Paleo-approved fats such as avocados, olive oil and coconut oil.
Cavallari also works out regularly, lifting weights and doing Pilates. Kristin said she started working out just three weeks after her second son, Jaxon, was born (in May 2014). She exercises 30 to 45 minutes four to five days a week, focusing on toning her legs and butt.
Thanks to her hard work, Kristin is now just a couple of pounds away from her pre-baby weight. It's not surprising Cavallari lost her baby weight in record time. In 2012, she regained her slim pre-pregnancy body just three months after giving birth to son Camden.
Kristin isn't the only Hollywood beauty who shed pregnancy weight fast with the low-carb Paleo diet. Megan Fox attributed her stunning weight loss to a dairy-free, sugar-free Paleo diet. Amazingly, Fox gave up sex, alcohol, smoking, carbs in one fell swoop as part of her health overhaul. She now looks fitter and sexier than ever.
