The divorce is off. As we speculated when Kobe and Vanessa Bryant were seen on New Year's Eve, the couple is together again. it was on Friday.
On Friday, Vanessa Bryant used her Instagram page to post a message, one which read:
We are pleased to announce that we have reconciled. Our divorce action will be dismissed. We are looking forward to our future together.
The Los Angeles Laker star posted a similar message on his Facebook page the same day:
I am happy to say that Vanessa and I are moving on with our lives together as a family. When the show ends and the music stops, the journey is made beautiful by having that someone to share it with. Thank you all for your support and prayers.
In December of 2011, Vanessa Bryant filed for divorce, citing the typical irreconcilable differences (for the no-fault divorce state of California, anyway). From then until now, the couple has been on-again, off-again, and on-again. Reportedly, though, things intensified over the last month or so.
Over the past month, the couple has been seen all over the place, including at the Dec. 12 Hurricane Sandy relief concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City, when they left arm-in-arm, and the aforementioned New Year's Eve outing, and a lot, lot more.
At the time of the divorce filing, both parties requested joint custody of their daughters, Natalia and Gianna. Natalia Diamante Bryant was born on Jan. 19, 2003. Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant, was born on May 1, 2006.
Now, they are one big happy family again. Let's hope Kobe stays away from any sort of activity like something that happened almost exactly a decade before the divorce filing. In that incident, Bryant admitted to having sex with a woman at a Colorado hotel.
