Kingsport man charged with animal cruelty after online video of dog abuse

A concerned citizen posted a disturbing video of a Kingsport, Tenn. man dragging his dog across the back of his property by one leg while the dog cried in pain led to the suspect's arrest on Monday reported cbs3Springfield.com.

Buster Allan Jackson, 54, of High Ridge Drive was allegedly shown on the video dragging a white dog with brown spots on its back holding on to one of the dog's hind legs down a hill. The dog is crying out in pain and fear all the way.

Jackson has been charged with one count of criminal animal cruelty.

The video was posted on Facebook over the weekend and received more than 1,400 comments.

According to the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, a number of citizens had called authorities outraged at what was being done to the dog.

Acting on leads, authorities arrested Jackson on Monday. The dog was examined and showed no external injuries.
