Kim Zolciak is being sued by Kandi Burruss for rights to Kim's single, "Tardy for the Party." On March 14, Kim took to her Twitter account to try to set the record straight and defend the song, saying that she has supporting "documents," suggesting that this lawsuit thing isn't really a threat to her.
"Kandi tried to pull the song down in Dec on iTunes but after I showed documents and proved points song was immediately put back up," Kim tweeted on Thursday. She didn't say anything else about the ordeal, perhaps because she feels that she doesn't need to defend herself any further.
Kim Zolciak could be sued because she illegally used a song that she didn't have the rights to. However, this "discussion" has been going on for quite some time and Kandi Burress has said that she "didn't take care of business" and that this is her own fault. It is unknown if she really has a case if this is true.
As previously reported, Burruss wants "Tardy for the Party" removed from iTunes. She wants to prohibit the sales of the song and she's also seeking "punitive damages, attorneys fees, and a jury trial." Some fans believe this lawsuit could have been filed because of some recent fight between the two women. What do you think?
Kim Zolciak is used to being sued... but do you think Burruss has a case here?
