Kim Kardashian slammed speculation that her recent Instagram photos were Photoshopped, insisting her slimmed-down body was due to diet and exercise, not clever editing or plastic surgery.
"It sucks when people make up surgery or Photoshop lies when I am so disciplined and work so hard!" Kardashian tweeted Jan. 10. "Just trying to motivate others and show anyone struggling with weight they can totally achieve whatever they want if they are dedicated!"
The Photoshop controversy erupted after Kim recently posted two Instagram selfies while wearing an exercise bra and black tights. In the snapshots, a voluptuous Kardashian sports a tiny waist, an ample bosom and her trademark curvy glutes.
Fans immediately accused her of editing the images to make her waist smaller and her breasts bigger. Several photo experts also claimed that Kardashian's selfies were definitely edited.
Kim has said she lost 50 pounds just five months after giving birth to daughter North (in June 2013) on a low-Atkins diet that limited her carb intake to less than 60 grams a day. Her diet was a high-fat ketogenic-style diet known for producing rapid weight loss.
Kardashian's daily menu typically looks like this:
- Breakfast: Omelette or Greek yogurt with berries and slivered almonds.
- Snacks: One to two ounces of nuts or a guacamole dip with fresh veggies.
- Lunch and dinner: A serving of fish, poultry, eggs, or lean red meat with lots of fiber-rich vegetables prepared with olive oil.
Kardashian also exercises regularly, combining rigorous cardio workouts with strength-training. Kim's dramatic weight loss has fueled rumors of plastic surgery, but she vehemently maintains that her body is the result of a strict diet and rigorous workouts.
Last month, she slammed rumors that she lost weight by getting $80,000 in plastic surgery and liposuction treatments. Kardashian said she's frustrated that people continue to believe that her body is not 100 percent natural and the result of hard work.
"I work out so hard and this was such a challenge for me but I did it," she said. "I'm so proud of my accomplishment and no one will take this away from me with fake reports!"
