Mark your calendar for March 30, 2014, round up the kids, and plan a day of dancing together for animals in need. Kick Fitness and Dance in Rumson, New Jersey, is inviting families to its "Pirouettes for Pets" event to benefit All Fur Love Animal Rescue. The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Girls and boys, ages 3 to 14, will meet Kick's instructors who will guide them through the steps and songs from today's most popular pop artists, movies and Broadway musicals. The day's themes and schedule includes:

  • Ballerina Princess and Frozen at 11:00 a.m.
  • Disney Channel Rocks at 11:30 a.m.
  • American Girl Doll at 12:00 p.m.
  • Matilda the Musical at 12:30 p.m.

The event is free. However, donations will be collected for All Fur Love Rescue. Please visit All Fur Love’s "wish list" online to find out what supplies and food are most needed. Donations of gift cards from Petco, Petsmart, Walmart or Sam's Club will also be appreciated. Looking for a new best friend? Guests will also have the opportunity to meet some of the adoptable dogs and cats at the event.

"Many of my dancers have pets at home and All Fur Love Rescue felt like a ‘pawsitively’ perfect match for us to support on our day of dance," said Vanessa Berry, Owner, Kick Fitness and Dance. "Our children are very compassionate and generous young souls. Every dollar and item donated at Pirouettes for Pets would mean the world to them. Our dancers know that it takes just one person to step up to make a difference in the world. We hope the community will also kick in on March 30 to help this worthy cause."

Kick Fitness and Dance is located at 62d Carton Street in Rumson, New Jersey. Call 732-212-1322 or visit the website for more information about the studio and event.
