There has been a buzz in the media that joining forces with KFC, the world's most popular chicken restaurant chain, is an odd combination. Eating fatty foods increases the risk of cancer and Kentucky Fried Chicken is not known for their "lite" menu. In fact, the latest sandwich from KFC is the "Double Down" with 590 calories and 31 grams of fat.
Donate without the fatty foods
Anything that drives donations to fight breast cancer is a good thing. There is a way to still helpKFC Buckets for the Cure raise money for breast cancer without worrying about the health concerns over fatty KFC food. Donate directly on the site that is linked from the KFC Facebook Fan Page and your donation will go directly to Susan G. Komen for the Cure to fight breast cancer.

I am really upset to hear that Susan G. Koman organization, a fund I have supported for several years, has teamed up with one of the most abusive food companies in our country. For years it has been known that American KFC companies refuse to treat their chickens humanly. I was outraged when I first saw the commercial promoting this event. I truly wish the Susan G. Koman organization chose a company that actually treats animals ethically. Now I am in an moral crisis of my own, trying to decide if I should continue to contribute to Susan G. Koman since they are now affiliated with the KFC monster.
EAG,
"For years it has been known that American KFC companies refuse to treat their chickens humanly" - there is nothing human about a chicken.
