Keyshia Cole is still fuming over criticism that she received for slamming Destiny's Child singer Michelle Williams' performance at the Super Bowl. Speaking out Friday, Cole insists that "it was open season" to talk about Michelle because she allegedly said something about her performance at an award show.
"Gonna say this again. Michelle spoke on me first. So it was open season to state my feelings on her. I always felt that about her. Just never said it until she spoke on me," Cole said Friday.
As reported Monday, Keyshia Cole was disturbed when Michelle popped up on stage with Beyonce and Kelly Rowland, performing during the halftime show at the Super Bowl.
"I think I was frightened to blink for a sec. Then Michelle sung and woke my a** up from my daze! She always f***n the groove up," said Cole.
Michelle Williams refrained from responding to Cole's negative opinion at first. She later issued a statement Thursday, claiming that women in music should support one another.
"It was an honor to share the stage with my sisters Kelly Rowland and Beyoncé on Sunday night. To all my ladies, we must learn to stick together and support each other," said Williams. "The incredible Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson did an amazing job too. Thank you to my sister Beyonce for sharing your moment with Destiny's Child. Love you."
Not taking that message well, after reading an article with a title claiming that Michelle doesn't care about what Keyshia said, Cole responded Friday.
"Sounds about right! Cause I didn't give a sh*t what she thought about my Soul Train performance when she spoke her sh*t," said Cole.
While she claims that she doesn't care, it seems like she really does, considering the Soul Train Awards were several months ago.
Do you think Keyshia Cole needs to find something else to do and talk about or does she have a valid point?
As previously reported, Michelle Williams is busy performing in the musical production "Fela."
