The fans of Katy Perry were up bright and early on Friday with all eyes on Times Square. While the locals rushed to see the event live, the Katy’s devotees around the United States were watching Good Morning America. Just like Lady Gaga it was Katy Perry's turn to announce some big news about her upcoming album in the iconic setting.
“GOOD MORNING AMERICA! Who's meeting me in Times Square this morning for some morning fun?!?!” tweeted Katy Perry from her official Twitter account. The entertainer even gave a recap for the fans who were late to the party. “If you missed it on the JUMBOTRON on GMA, here it is - my #PRISM album cover, shot by the wonderful Ryan McGinley!”
The Prism album cover art isn't as flashy as Perry’s previous album and photograph plays off the idea of a prism perhaps a little too much. However as fans know, introducing cover art is big news for morning talk shows so revealing the cover is exactly what the entertainer needed to do. Katy’s album comes out in November, but everyone is really hoping the entertainer returns to GMA to perform at some point in the later this year.
