Justin Bieber left Miami for Panama with gal pal Chantel Jeffries following his Florida DUI arrest. The pair arrived at Punta Chame, a Central American hot spot, on Saturday morning, according to TMZ on Jan. 25.
The show business site pointed out that Panama's legal drinking age is 18, making the coast clear for 19-year-old Bieber and Jeffries, who is 21, to drink together. The pair showed up on a sun soaked beach where the superstar was snapped rubbing Chantel's back.
One source says that when he landed at the Panama airport via private jet, Justin Bieber and his entourage were literally surrounded by picture-snapping paparazzi. This entourage includes Justin's dad, Jeremy, who is obviously keeping a close eye on his son's whereabouts, even though he doesn't seem to be a very parental influence when it comes to his kid's antics.
In fact, Jeremy was spotted in another car when Justin was arrested during the South Florida drag racing incident. The senior Bieber was also said to have been at Justin's side when the two entered a Miami nightclub right after his boy was sprung from jail.
And now Justin Bieber, his dad, and his girl of the moment are all in Punta Chame, Panama, a tropical paradise where many forget their troubles. However, sometimes it's a good idea to stop traveling and start figuring out how to negotiate life in the limelight without going off the rails by breaking laws, don't you think? That was definitely a rhetorical question.
