A Wisconsin judge banned Jeffrey Ehlers, 17, from playing video games and ordered him not to have "violent contact" with his family. The teen was arrested Sunday after a violent altercation with his mother.
Reportedly, Ehlers, was cussing and screaming while playing the PlayStation 3 because he was losing. His mother repeatedly asked him to calm down. When he refused she unplugged the console which led to the teen slamming doors, throwing things, cursing at his mother and eventually pushing her.
Ehlers is being charged as an adult. If convicted of the misdemeanor charge, Ehlers could spend 90 days in jail. Ehlers's mother believes he is addicted to video games, so the ban may just be welcomed. The teen is due back in court Oct. 24. His court-appointed attorney entered a not guilty plea.
