Fashion critic to the stars, Joan Rivers, claimed on Monday she does not like First Lady Michelle Obama's new haircut.
Debuting a new do for her husband President Barack Obama's inauguration, Michelle sported some mean bangs and stick straight shaggy hair. While many fans were quick to praise her new tresses, Barbara posted a tweet with her disapproving opinion.
"Today starts President Obama's next four years in the White House," Joan wrote, "Let's hope the same isn't true about the First Lady's new hairdo."
Meanwhile, most media outlets gushed and drooled over Michelle's new look, writing nothing but praise for the FLOTUS' newly cut bangs.
"First Lady celebrated her 49th birthday by sporting chic, youthful new hairstyle, " The New York Daily News said, "Just in time for the Presidential Inauguration!"
E! News called Michelle's hair "flawless," while the LA Times referred to the do as a "glamorous sleek pageboy featuring bangs."
However, Joan was not the only one who disliked Michelle's new bangs. "Michelle Obama's bangs are a shock to the system," A Huffington Post columnist gasped.
The President himself, however, has loudly praised his wife's new hair, giving them even more importance than his own Inauguration event. "To address the most significant event of the weekend, I love her bangs," Obama told USA Today.
