Joan Rivers was brutal, more so than her group of self-proclaimed fashion critics from the "Fashion Police," when it came to commenting on the worst fashions seen on the Red Carpet. The group of four had their say about the way the celebrities dressed at the “Golden Globe Awards” 2012.
This is just the start of their season as they’ll be on hand for the SAG Awards, Emmy Awards and the Academy Awards. People were worried about Ricky Gervais coming out with insults; Rivers' on went way beyond insults, she was cruel at times.
The comments that Joan Rivers spewed were the most brutal of all as Kelly Osbourne, Giulianna Rancic and stylist Georg Kotsipoulos went sparingly on the over-the-top negatives as they zeroed in on the people walking the “Golden Globe's” Red Carpet.
Cruel: Nicole Richie’s dress: “A former drug addict who dresses like a needle,” commented Joan Rivers about Richie’s metallic dress. Both Kelly and Giulianna disagreed.
Nonsense: Madonna’s dress: “I loved it despite it looking like a disco ball that had sex with a quilt,” said Rivers.
Cruel: Lea Michele's dress: “I’m sorry, Lea Michele is just not sexy enough to wear this dress,” said Kotsipoulos. All four nominated Michele as the “worst dressed for the night.”
Cruel: Dianna Agron’s dress: “I think this dress has more holes in it than Courtney Love’s liver,” said Rivers.
Innappropriate: Charlize Theron’s dress: “You know why the blush? (The color of her dress) She grew up in South Africa that has a no colored policy in her contract,” said Rivers.
Most of the cruel and obnoxious comments were made by Rivers’, with the others keeping any negatives to a minimum of words. All agreed that Angelina Jolie looked the best at the “Golden Globes.”
