Jennifer Aniston showed off her sexy bikini body while vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Feb. 6.
Aniston, who turns 41 on Feb. 11, was photographed sunbathing by the hotel pool with BFF Courteney Cox, her Bounty co-star Gerard Butler and several friends.
Despite being in her 40s, Jennifer has the lean, toned physique of someone years younger. So how does she do it?
LOTS OF YOGA AND CARDIO
Aniston stays firm and slim thanks to eating well, running and lots of yoga. Jennifer previously revealed that she does two hours of yoga every other day with her trainer.
"You feel like you're having a therapy session," said Jennifer, who noted that yoga has toned her muscles, lengthened her limbs and improved her posture.
"My legs got leaner," she said. "My arms got strong." After a sweaty yoga workout, Aniston finishes off by doing 20 minutes of cardio interval training on the elliptical trainer or treadmill (she usually runs 5.7 mph at 1.5 incline).
A HEALTHY DIET IS CRUCIAL
It takes more than strenuous exercise to get Jen's super-svelte bikini body. Eating a healthy diet that's high in protein and low in carbs and processed foods is key, experts say.
Aniston is a longtime adherent of the Zone Diet, which aims for a dietary ratio of 40% carbohydrates, 30% protein, and 30% fat at every meal. Her meals typically consist of lots of lean protein, fruits and vegetables.
Like many Hollywood sex symbols, Jennifer wasn't always so bikini-perfect.
When she started acting in her early 20s, Aniston's agent advised her to lose weight if she wanted to land better acting roles. Jennifer reportedly lost some 30 lbs. after that, and her career has been on a roll ever since.
'I'M MORE AT PEACE WITH MYSELF'
Aniston got divorced from actor Brad Pitt in 2005 (he has since been involved with Angelina Jolie) and has dated sporadically over the years, most recently singer John Mayer.
But Jen has embraced getting older. “I feel more comfortable today than I ever did in my 20s or early 30s," Aniston has said.
She adds: "I’m healthier. I’m more at peace in my mind and with my body. I'm startin' to live. It's good!"
