Jemele Hill tweets racist letter, goes viral on Twitter

On Friday, ESPN analyst Jemele Hill received a racist letter from an angry listener of the “Colin Cowherd” radio show. Surprised to not only receive a vile letter such as this, but have it be hand-written no less, Hill wasted no time tweeting it out to her 137,000 followers on Twitter.

Hill, who had been contributing to Cowherd’s show prior to receiving the letter, tweeted a photo of the personalized note on Twitter, saying, “I gotta say, this guy executed the hat trick of racial slurs.”

So what was in the letter? How about racist (and sexist) comments like these:

“I don’t like women broadcasters to begin with, let alone b***h “jungle bunnies.”

The letter also went on to refer to Jemele as a “thick lipped gorilla,” as well as a “spear chucker” who speaks “ebonics.”

Unfortunately for Jemele, receiving hateful letters such as these is not new.

“And I hate to stereotype, but 89.9 percent of hand-written letters I receive are racist. Can't figure it out,” she later tweeted.
