Japan schools forced students to clean radioactive dirt from swimming pools in locations designated as hot spots with radiation levels 4 times Chernobyl evacuation limits.
In another propaganda show meant to convince the public there is no threat from radiation in Japan, local schools forced children to clean radioactive dirt from the bottom of the schools swimming pools.
One PTA member who didn’t trust the assertions from the school and the government kept a sample of the dirt collected from the pool and decided to have it tested for radiation.
According to a the Mainichi Daily News (Japanese), that sample was found to contain 17,020 becquerels per kilogram of radioactive cesium.
Here is an English translation of the Mainichi Shinbun article as posted on Yahoo News, 7/5/2011, provided, by EX-SKF:
East earthquake: Community School of cesium from the mud pool Joso, Ibaraki / 2 times the allowable standard landfill
It was disclosed that 17,020 becquerels per kilogram of radioactive cesium was detected from the dirt that were scooped out from the swimming pool when the teachers and pupils of one public elementary schools in Joso City did the cleaning of the pool in May. The amount is more than twice the safety limit set by the Ministry of the Environment for the radioactive debris that could be buried. The school moved the dirt in a separate area. Upon this news, the city’s Board of Education surveyed the situation of the pool dirt in city’s elementary schools and junior high schools on July 4, and found out there were 4 other elementary schools who had kept the dirt on the school premises.
A member of the school’s PTA collected a bucketful of this dirt on June 11, and sent 3 kilograms of it to a laboratory specializing in radiation measurement. The result, which was delivered on June 29, showed the sample contained 7,700 becquerels/kg of cesium-134 and 9,320 becquerels/kg of cesium-137.
The safety limit for disposal of radioactive debris, as announced by the Ministry of the Environment last month, is 8,000 becquerels/kg. If it is below that limit, you can bury the debris. If it exceeds, then the measures will be necessary to shield the radiation. The Ministry of Education and Science says the dirt from the pool would be treated in the same manner.
The vice principal of the elementary school said, “As an activity to promote love for the school, 5th and 6th graders participated in the cleaning.” The school didn’t think of the radiation contamination then. The city’s Board of Education instructed the principals of the city’s schools on May 25 to pay attention to the health of pupils when cleaning the swimming pools, but by that time 4 schools including this elementary school had already had pupils clean the pools.
The city’s Board of Education has decided to have a company that specializes in disposal of industrial waste to dispose the pool dirt from the school. As to the dirt at 4 other schools, the radiation will be measured on July 5. If the numbers are higher than those for the schoolyards, the dirt will be disposed as industrial waste. Koichi Sakamaki, manager for education [at the Board of Education] said, “Cleaning the swimming pools is part of the school instruction. But we should have been a bit more careful.”
The member of the school’s PTA says, “That the children did the cleanup of radioactive dirt should be recorded as such , for the future health monitoring. The city’s Board of Education should provide appropriate countermeasures, and disclose information fully.” The Board of Education of Ibaraki Prefecture, on the other hand, says “While it’s true there is no standard for evaluating the pool dirt, but there is no need to be nervous as long as you wash your hands after cleaning the pool.”
As EX-SKF points out in the commentary on their write-up of this article, it is unfathomable that school officials did not consider the swimming pools would contain highly radioactive dirt since plums simulations have shown a constant plume of radiation from the Fukushima nuclear plant blowing over the area the schools are located in.
Perhaps an even greater sign that the swimming pools would be highly radioactive is the face that Ibaraki Prefecture and Date City have been designated as being amount the many radioactive hot-spots located outside of the Fukushima evacuation zone.
These areas are known to contain radiation levels 4 times higher than Chernobyl evacuation limits yet Japan has decided not to evacuate those areas. Instead Japan has announced they evacuate those areas on a house by house basis at some time in the future. The fact is radiation levels in the areas have already been detected at levels up to 90 times Chernobyl evacuation limits and numerous radioactive hotspots are located all over Japan at distances up to 200 kilometer from Fukushima.
View the map of the official government radiation readings in Japan, see the image on the top left of this article. Considering these readings, one would think it would be prudent for school officials tasked with protecting children to err on the side of caution. Instead the make decisions based on the trusting blanket statements from PR funded talking heads who insist everything is okay and there is no threat from the radiation.
Even more shocking is the collective social pressure being placed on the residents of Japan not to question the authorities false assurances that the levels of radiation.
For example, the Fukushima Radiation Health Risk Advisor tells people as long as they smile they will suffer no effects from the radiation. Watch the video of his public press conferences with englsh translations attached at the top left of this article.
Yes, he says this with a smile and a straight face as he justifies children playing in radioactive hotspots measuring up to 100 microsieverts per hour. Japan has even set radiation levels for infant food and beverages to levels much higher than the international legal limits for nuclear waste and it is the work of officials like him who indoctrinate the masses and manipulate them into believing the levels are safe. Of course limits for adult food and beverages are far beyond the infant levels and all of those levels are hundreds of times higher than limits set in other nations around the world.
As independent observers, watching from the other side of the Pacific, we can clearly see that the people of Japan are being lied to. At the same time, we may even wonder why the people of Japan can’t see through the lies they are being told by their government.
The simple answer is peer pressure. It is just socially unacceptable to question the government and those who dare to pose such questions are quickly branded as social outcasts.
Doesn’t that sound silly to you? We could attempt to explain it off as difference in culture but the truth be told our culture is not much different in this aspect.
Those of us who question the effects of Fukushima radiation are branded tin-foil hatters as well. Admittedly, one can argue it is acceptable to question government statements on the safety of the radiation levels in Japan because they are undoubtedly much higher given the fact the population is much closer to ground zero.
Regardless, the bottom line is anyone who questions the official government story on any issue is merely branded as a conspiracy theorist. At the end of the day, whether the government is lying or not, regardless of proof or evidence, such people are branded as a social outcast.
It is through this very method that the masses are controlled. It is an obviously blatant yet very effective means of manipulating the collective conscience. Governments and corporations who have the money to run such deceptive public relation campaigns effectively control the media. In fact it is so effective that we find ourselves subdued in our search for the truth to the point they make us doubt ourselves for even for even having the audacity to question their lies.
We witness just how effective their mind control is by observing the parents in Japan. While the residents are fully aware they are living inside of extremely radioactive hotspots they have been convinced to believe their fears and skepticism are are irrational. They keep their questions and concerns bottled inside and quietly watch their children be repeatedly subjugated into propaganda shows such as this one.
Even with beef in Japan containing radiation at levels above the international legal limits for nuclear waste the public is still perverted into believing they will be safe as long as they keep smiling.
The moral of the story is you should just take your Lithium, your Valium, your Prozac and whatever else the pharmaceutical industry has you hopped up on to keep you dumb, numb and smiling. Just take the blue pill and don’t forget to indoctrinate your children into the mantra of being trapped inside the fantasy world the government wants us to believe is real. If we keep smiling the radiation won’t get us.
If you decide to take the red pill and question authority the verdict is clear. You will be labeled as a terrorist and spied on. You will be arrested or join the list of gunned downed and tortured US college students. If you are lucky you may even be kidnapped, hauled off to a secret overseas torture camp, and tortured in a 5 star prison with all of the enmities. If you just happen to be like the hundreds of people that are tortured or even join the list of those who are tortured to death you can be rest assured that the government will do the right thing and drop investigations into the murders.
Blue Pill or Red Pill? You decide.
