You've heard the '12 Days of Christmas' song...” On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me....” it begins on Christmas Day, December 25, and continues the next 12 days until January 6, which is the day of the Epiphany.
This event was a real event in the United States when life was mostly farming and agriculture, families celebrated the 12 official days of Christmas before it became the extremely commercialized one day event.
The Epiphany is no ordinary day for Christians; it’s the day baby Jesus was visited by the three wise men; King Melchior, King Gaspar and King Balthazar. Each king brought a gift to Jesus the Christ and these were not ordinary gifts, they were frankincense, myrrh and gold.

The Magi followed the bright star not sure where their journey would lead, they acted on faith, encountered danger and difficulties along the way and discovered that each must give up what they hold most dear.
They were led to a shelter house or manger in the town of Bethlehem in Judea, the manger was for animals because there were no rooms available for them at the inn. There they found baby Jesus lying on a bed of straw with his mother Mary by His side and His earthly father, Joseph. It was a blessing to see the king of kings and they returned home joyful and ready to share the truth with others and that folks is the true meaning of Christmas.
