Janeane Garofalo: Racist Republicans support Herman Cain to hide their racism

Liberals will do anything to smear Republicans as racists.

Janeane Garofalo, perhaps one of the most hate-filled liberals to regularly show her face on television, made the utterly ridiculous claim that Republicans support Herman Cain in order to hide their racism.

Cain won Florida's Presidency 5 Straw Poll in a landslide victory last weekend.  Much of the Democrat-media complex either ignored Cain's win, or minimized it.  But Garofalo upped the ante with her outrageous claim, and as usual, offered no proof of her assertion.

"Herman Cain is probably well liked by some of the Republicans because it hides the racist elements of the Republican party. Conservative movement and tea party movement, one in the same," she said.

"People like Karl Rove liked to keep the racism very covert. And so Herman Cain provides this great opportunity say you can say 'Look, this is not a racist, anti-immigrant, anti-female, anti-gay movement. Look we have a black man,'" she added.

Garofalo made her comments while a guest on Keith Olbermann's latest incarnation of "Countdown," now on Al Gore's Current TV.

Olbermann started by chiding Sarah Palin over her pronounciation of Cain's first name while a guest on Greta van susteren's Fox News program, On the Record.

After Olbermann called Palin an "idiot," Garofalo said she wasn't all that concerned because in her view, Palin and Fox News have no credibility anyway.

It was then she launched into her ongoing smear of conservatives and Republicans.

According to Garofalo's alleged "logic," it is racist to disagree with Barack Obama.  It is also racist to support Herman Cain, a conservative who happens to be a black man.

Those who do support Cain, in her view, do so not because they agree with his positions, but only to hide their non-existent racism.

In August, Garofalo claimed Cain is in the race to "deflect the racism that is inherent" in the GOP and is being paid by Grover Norquist, Karl Rove or the evil Koch Brothers to run for the GOP nomination.

At the time, John Hayward of Human Events wrote:

Janeane Garofalo is a vicious racist.  If she’s not a “racist,” then the term has absolutely no meaning.  It is important to note and denounce actual racism, as opposed to the sick totalitarian fantasy kind rattling around in Garofalo’s head.  She deserves no pity for being an idiot who doesn't have any other arguments to make against Cain.  Stupidity does not excuse racism, much less giving it a televised platform.

From the moment the Tea Party came into existence, Garofalo has smeared the entire movement with vicious claims that should cause one to question her mental stability.

Her latest claim shows how utterly ridiculous the entire left is on the issue of race.

Perhaps she should invest in a bit more tin foil.
