Kristina Wagner’s love is back.
According to a Jan. 31 Access Hollywood report, Jack Wagner is back on “General Hospital” for the first time in 18 years reprising his role as Frisco Jones.
Speaking with Access Hollywood on set, the returning daytime soap time talked about how great it is to be back on set with his ex wife, Kristina Wagner, who he described as “beautiful” and “wonderful.”
“I think, in life, we never can anticipate where it’s going to take us, so to be back here and to be working with Kristina [Wagner], my ex-wife, who’s just so beautiful and wonderful, and to have so many of the core characters back from the ‘80s, when ‘General Hospital’ was so huge – [it’s] been awesome,” Jack told Access Hollywood on Jan. 31. “I’m really happy. I’m glad I came back.”
Speaking with Access Hollywood in a follow up interview, Wagner said that he consulted with his and Kristina’s kids before taking the job, which will put him and real life ex back on screen together.
“Yeah, I did. I said, ‘Listen, they called and wanted me to come back for the 50th anniversary. How are you with that?’” he recounts. “She’s like, ‘Good.’ I’m like, ‘OK.’ Keep it simple in life, right?”
Talking about working with Kristina, Jack said, “We’ll go from running lines to, ‘Oh my God! You have a cold! Are you having some soup?’ ‘Hey, what did Harrison [their youngest son, born in 1994] do last night?’” he laughs. “You go from work to discussing children. It’s pretty funny how we jump around.”
According to Access Hollywood, Jack will reprise his role as Frisco on Feb. 4, one week before the air date of another “General Hospital” star, Genie Francis, who is reprising her role of Laura Spencer. Wagner and Francis’ returns coincide with the show’s big 50th anniversary this April.
