"The Amish Bloodsucker Trilogy" by Barbara Ellen Brink is available now. Ok. Does anything not sound quite right about this title.. Amish? Bloodsucker?
Well, this appears to the new trend with mixing the Amish romance with the paranormal.
The books in this series are titled, "Chosen", "Shunned" and "Reckoning".
In the first book, Jael is the Chosen One of the vampire slayers in the Minnesota Loon Lake Amish Community.
She became a vampire slayer when her parents are forced to leave because the new Bishop is a bloodsucking vampire that used their quiet town for their feeding frenzy.
Jael's uncle and father train her in twenty- one different forms of fighting so that when she turns sixteen she can fulfill the prophecy in the Book of the Shunned where she will continue the fight of another Jael from a thousand years earlier.
The second book, picks up after her first fight and is shunned from the Amish community. She then goes and lives with her grandparents and meet the man of her dreams. But, she can't worry about romance when Bishop is trying to take all the teenagers of the town for his plan that she has yet to figure out or stop.
And in the third book, her boyfriend and new friends help her go against Bishop and his vampires for the final time.
