This week, Us Weekly's cover reported that Bachelor star Sean Lowe is a "born again" virgin, who is saving sex for marriage. Although he has had sex before, he has rededicated himself to staying chaste until he ties the knot. Hollywood Life has since reported that an unnamed source says Sean and his fiancee from the show are waiting to have sex until after their wedding.
Is it true? According to sources, staying sexually pure is important to Sean and his values. Perhaps he'll seal the deal with one of his final four contestants, Desiree Hartsock, Lindsay Yenter, Catherine Giudici or AshLee Frazier.
Past Bachelor stars have use the final three "fantasy dates" to test the waters with one or more women, spending a romantic overnight date in an exotic location. In the last season of The Bachelorette, Emily Maynard told each of her fantasy suite dates that she wanted to set a good example for her daughter and that there would be no sex on the overnight dates.
Other Bachelor and Bachelorette stars say it's not a good idea to save sex for marriage. Jillian Harris reportedly says it's a bad idea for Sean to skip out on the opportunity to have sex before marriage, explaining that it's a very important part of a relationship. She also doesn't believe that Sean is a virgin if he's friends with Arie Luyendyk.
If Sean does choose to forgo the fantasy suite overnight dates, we'll likely get to hear his explanation on Monday, 2/25. This Monday, 2/18 Sean will visit the hometowns of each of his four chosen women, and the following week will be the overnight dates.
