iOS 7 updates could be making some users a bit queasy. The animated fly out transitions between apps is jarring to a few people at least. According to ABC News on Sept. 26, folks who have upgraded to the latest from Apple may be feeling sick.
Michelle Barna, 31, is hesitant to update to the newest version of iOS because of those animations. 'I played around with iOS 7 on my girlfriend's phone and I felt nauseous,' she told ABC News. 'I'm a huge Apple fan and I haven't made the update yet because of it.'
iOS 7 updates are by and large needed and much appreciated over iOS 6. But the animated transitions are a bit much. Some even claim motion sickness was felt soon after trying the new system. A former NASA director, Charles Oman, is not ready to fully agree.
'It takes a couple minutes of sustained stimulation to activate motion sickness...but it's a little harder to believe on the small screens.'
For the most part the iOS 7 updates have been a big success for Apple. Forbes reports that already over 51% of iOS-based Internet traffic in the U.S. and Canada is from iOS 7. Remember that the new operating system was just released on Sept. 18 and some users reported long wait times and issues with downloading it, as reported in, "iOS 7 download problems reported worldwide."
The author of this story made the iOS 7 updates on the very first day. He is proud to report that overall he is very pleased with the performance, but is on the fence as to whether the new animated transitions are sick or just plain cool.
