Imbolc Correspondences

 Whether you are decorating your altar for the sabbat, searching traditional Imbolc foods for cooking ideas, or trying to decide what aspect of the God or Goddess to call for a ritual, Imbolc correspondences are good to have on hand.  Whether you hand write them in your book of shadows, or type them into your online grimoire,  correspondence lists can be a handy reference.

Colors:
White, silver, pale yellow

Symbols of the season:
Candles, corn dolls, fire,  burrowing animals, ewes, Brigid's cross, acorn-tipped wands, brooms

Pictures or statues of the goddess, white clothes, white candles, white ribbons, Brigid's bed, white flowers or the first flowers of the season, lamps, silver candles, silver candlesticks, silver bowls,  melted snow in a bottle, pictures or statues of the god, representations of animals of the season

Alternately, when looking for items to work with on Imbolc, you could choose the correspondences related to the deity you choose to work with, for example, burning incense or cooking foods related to Brigid.  Though correspondences can give you a place to start, remember that the most important thing is to create an Imbolc setting that feels comfortable for you and your workings.
