Bethesda Softworks have provided some helpful tips today in regards to several issues involving the Tel Mithryn city that appear in the Dragonborn DLC of the Xbox 360 title, “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.” The publisher revealed several steps for players to take if they get stuck in the three following circumstances: attacking NPCs inside the city, falling from magical lift and being unable to complete the “Help Neloth with his research” objective. You can check out some screens from the Dragonborn DLC, as well as several older shots from the main open-world role-playing game, in the slideshow at the top of this article and the tips from Bethsoft Support below:

Attacking NPCs inside of Tel Mithryn traps your character

  • If you get involved in combat with the NPCs in Tel Mithryn and find yourself trapped, try putting the NPCs in question into a “bleedout” and then wait 24 hours for them to get over their aggression. At this point you should be able to use the lift again. If the issue persists, you can reload to an earlier save and avoid getting into combat with residents of Tel Mithryn.

If you try to move while floating up or down with the magical lift in Tel Mithryn, you may fall to your death.

  • Avoid trying to move while levitating up or down in Tel Mithryn.

Tel Mithryn: The objective “Help Neloth with his research” can never be completed after leaving the tower.

  • You will need to reload a save prior to leaving the tower and speak to Neloth after the spellcasting scene. Then choose the dialogue option “I think you owe me for that spell” prior to exiting Tel Mithryn.

The Dragonborn DLC is now available for the Xbox 360 version of “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” and will be released for the PC and Playstation 3 platforms early next year.

The open-world role-playing game was originally released for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms in North America on Nov. 11, 2011.
